The Crisis of my Friends is a ongoing open documentary project that is exploring the impact of the current economic crisis in Spain on the culture of work in this European country and particularly on the lives of a certain group of Spaniards, my friends.

Miguel Macias is a radio and video producer and sound designer based in Brooklyn, New York. Currently Miguel is an associate professor and deputy chair for graduate studies at the Department of Television and Radio at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.

Prior to joining the Brooklyn College faculty in 2009, Miguel worked at New York Public Radio WNYC's Radio Rookies as an associate producer (2004-2006); for American Public Media's Marketplace, as the overnight associate producer and director for the Marketplace Morning Report (2006-2008); and as the Los Angeles Bureau Chief for Youth Radio (2008-2009).
